The newly-christened DeltaWing Racing Cars with Claro/TracFone team brings new sponsors and a winning driver lineup to the 2015 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, as four-time Rolex Sports Car Series champion Guillermo “Memo” Rojas joins DeltaWing veterans Katherine Legge, Gabby Chaves and Andy Meyrick behind the wheel of the revolutionary DeltaWing coupe.

In addition to the championship titles, Rojas and current DeltaWing team manager Tim Keene share an impressive sports car record that spans eight years of collaboration at Chip Ganassi Racing, with 30 victories that include three Rolex 24 at Daytona wins. Rojas also won last year’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, making him the first Mexican driver to take the top spot in the endurance racing classic.

The move to DeltaWing brings Rojas’ sports car career full circle, as his very first sports car racing experience was a test behind the wheel of the Panoz front-engine LMP-1 prototype in 2003. International entrepreneur Carlos Slim Helú’s telecommunications divisions Claro and TracFone also come onboard the DeltaWing team for 2015.

Legge joins Rojas as a full-time DeltaWing driver this season. From Surrey, England, Legge was the first woman to win a major open-wheel race in the United States (in a Formula Atlantic series race in 2005) and is the only woman to hold the overall lead in an American Le Mans Series race (in the DeltaWing roadster at Road America in 2013).

Chaves, the 2014 Indy Lights Champion, returns to the site of his first race with DeltaWing last year. With 2014 season highlights including the Freedom 100 victory at Indianapolis in May and the top spot in the recent 12 Hours of Bogotá, the young Colombian-American was named Colombian Race Car Driver of the Year by that country’s motorsports federation.

Meyrick, from Cheshire, England, has been with the DeltaWing team since Don Panoz took over the program in early 2013. Alongside his 2014 DeltaWing duties, Meyrick helped bring Bentley back to sports car racing by earning a second place finish in the Blancpain Endurance Series. Meyrick earned top rookie honors in the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans.
