Andrew Felker hopes this is the year he gets to finally celebrate in front of a large continent of friends and family at his “home” track.

“We’ve had quick cars there, but haven’t been able to get the monkey off our back and finish it off,” said Felker of his previous visits to Lucas Oil Speedway in the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget Series. “Hopefully this time we can rid of our bad luck and win one.”

Felker, a two-time winner on the POWRi Midget Series already this season, will be one to watch on Saturday when the fifth annual Impact Signs Awnings Wraps Open Wheel Showdown returns to Lucas Oil Speedway.

The triple header of open-wheel action features the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region along with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region; the Boss Chassis WAR Sprint Car Series and the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget Series.

Impact Signs, Awnings, Wraps of Sedalia also is a presenting sponsor of the ASCS Warrior Region in 2016.

“Impact Signs, Awnings, Wraps and (owner) David Goodson is a tremendous supporter of dirt-track racing and we appreciate them returning as the title sponsor for our Open-Wheel Showdown,” Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said. “The Open Wheel Showdown always is one of the highlights of our season.

“When you get the two ASCS Winged Sprints tours competing together along with the Boss Chassis Wingless Sprints and the POWRi Lucas National Midget Series on the same program – and combine it with a terrific weather forecast – it’s going to be a fantastic night of open-wheel racing.”
