A total of 17 teams have confirmed their entry, fielding a total of 34 cars. Europe will be the most represented, but the Brazilian and American flags will wave too, confirming the international character of the Series.

“NASCAR Racing is growing in Europe,” said Jerome Galpin, President and CEO of NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. “Each day we receive more interest from teams, drivers, medias and fans who embrace this way of racing. It’s all about sharing passion and having fun, for drivers to drive these amazing cars and for fans to attend spectacular races and have close access to teams and drivers. I can’t wait to see this amazing and colorful grid getting the green flag in Valencia on April 12-13th.”

Six of the teams set to compete in the 2014 season will come from France, including the two-time series champion Ander Vilarino’s TFT team and 2013 Team Championship winner Still Racing. RDV Compétition, Overdrive, VTS 85 and Bull Racing Team make up the other four teams from France. Italy will also be strongly represented on the grid, thanks to the three cars fielded by CAAL Racing and the single-car teams Events4you by Nocentini, Euro Kart Racing and T-Engineeering.

Racing Club Partners, now associated with the prestigious Marc VDS Racing Team, and the iconic newcomer PK Carsport will surely honor the Belgian colors, while Austria will make its debut fielding a great lineup thanks to Renauer Motorsports and DF1 Racing by B66 Raceconsulting.

The Spanish team Ford Autolix Competition will join the series with a three-car squad that looks very powerful.

A new Brazilian team, which will be unveiled soon, will come from overseas to enter the championship.

Finally, to complete this impressive entry list, Max Papis Racing, operating from the heart of NASCAR country in Mooresville, N.C., will join the Series with hopes of expanding into a multi-car team soon.

With a 34-car grid that gets every day more competitive, NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is ready to wave the green flag on a 2014 season that promises to thrill competitors and fans like never before! The season will span 24 races over six weekends, four of which will entirely revolve around NASCAR racing, on the most interesting and storied tracks in Europe.

A brand-new dedicated event will open the calendar in Valencia on April 12-13, followed by the second edition of the American Speedfest in Brands Hatch on June 7-8. Tours Speedway will host the series on July 5-6 for the only NASCAR race in Europe on an oval track, after which the championship will move to the famous Nurburgring for the July 19-20 weekend. The playoffs, assigning double points for every race, will begin in Italy, at the Autodromo dell’Umbria, on September 20-21, while the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans will once again host the series’ final races on October 11-12.
