MOORESVILLE, N.C. — HScott Motorsports announced Tuesday that Michael Annett will have a new crew chief atop the pit box, beginning this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Mike Hillman Sr. takes over as the crew chief of the No. 46 Pilot/Flying J Chevrolet, effective immediately, under the direction of competition director Steve Addington and former crew chief Jay Guy.

Guy has been promoted from his role as crew chief to the position of HScott Motorsports Technical Director. Guy will report to Addington as he begins his new duties.

The moves are part of personnel changes made in order to better utilize the team’s expertise and resources over the second half of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

“We are making these moves today in order to strengthen our management team and develop better lines of communications to improve performance,” said team owner Harry Scott Jr. “Jay Guy’s promotion adds a layer of management we need between the two teams to better coordinate and communicate. Mike Hillman Sr. brings more than 25 years of experience to the No. 46.”
