October 17, 2013 – By Jacob Seelman for Speed77 Radio and Race Chaser Online – Charlotte, N.C. – Look out, boys and girls. The self-proclaimed “Hotshoe” is ready to blaze his trail to the top.

Sharp-Gallaher Racing announced today that Daniel Hemric will make his NASCAR national series debut behind the wheel of the #6 Jack Link’s Beef Jerky /Valvoline Chevy Silverado for the Camping World Truck Series Kroger 200 at Martinsville Speedway next weekend.

22-year-old Hemric has become a household name among the US Legends Car, Modified and Late Model ranks, earning countless victories and other recognitions over the past seven years. He found his first niche at Concord Speedway in North Carolina, first in go-karts and again in Legends Cars when he moved up at the age of 16. Hemric won back-to-back Legends Pro division National Championships in 2008 and 2009. He also claimed the 2009 and 2013 Summer Shootout Championship at Charlotte Motor Speedway with a combined 14 victories over the 20 races constituting the two championship campaigns.

In 2010, the Kannapolis, N.C. driver scored one of his biggest checkered flags with a win in the nationally televised Legends Million at Charlotte. He then advanced to Modifieds and Late Models, but has never completely left his Legendss roots, as evidenced by his SSO title this season. Hemric won his first Super Late Model race in 2011, and scored a convincing title in JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour competition in 2012.

‘Hotshoe’ has shown no signs of slowing down in 2013, scoring two wins in the new Southern Super Series (Super Late Model), triumphs in the PASS South Late Model series, the Gulf Coast Super Late Model Championship, and the Legends Car Pro division Asphalt Nationals victory in addition to the before-mentioned Summer Shootout title.
