August 1, 2013 – Audio by Senior Editor Tom Baker – Dillon Bassett knows that to win a UARA-STARS race is a highly challenging assignment.  He also knows that to do that he will have to beat his older brother Ronnie “Bulldog” Bassett, which makes the challenge even tougher.

Last weekend at Asheboro, North Carolina’s Caraway Speedway, the young speedster known as “Spark Plug” led 148 laps and picked up the win in dominating fashion.  But it was not without an unintentional brotherly “spat”.  Ronnie started next to Dillon on a restart and thought he had cleared him going into turn one, resulting in contact which sent Ronnie into the fence and out of the action early.

Ronnie took responsibility and was happy to see little brother park his Seth Smith prepared No. 04 in victory lane.

Spark Plug goes a few rounds with RaceChaser Online Senior Editor Tom Baker in this interview, talking about the contact, the win, his season and some news about Ronnie’s racing future.
