Vettel, who has won the last four Formula One World Championships while driving for Red Bull, has gone winless thus far this year while his young teammate Daniel Ricciardo has won three races. Vettel joined Red Bull in 2009 and since then has won 38 Grands Prix for the team, including a career-best 13 last year.

“Sebastian Vettel has advised us that he will be leaving Infiniti Red Bull Racing at the end of the 2014 season,” a statement from Red Bull read. “We want to warmly thank Sebastian for the incredible role he has played at Infiniti Red Bull Racing for the last six years.

Red Bull confirmed that Ricciardo will return to the Red Bull organization next year, being joined by Russian Daniil Kvyat, who is currently contesting his first full Formula One season for Scuderia Toro Rosso.

Reports are that Vettel will move to Scuderia Ferrari in 2015, but no official announcement has been made.
