The beginner box stocks had a surprising end as Tiffany Claridge held off a hard charging Hunter Kohn for her first career win. Kohn was right on her bumper at the line to finish second, Eli Bodine was third, Gavan Boschele fourth, and Aubry Rose fifth.
The box stock feature started with domination and then tough luck came into play. Clark Houston jumped out front of Ahnna Parkhurst and it seemed he would never look back. At the feature’s half way point, Clark lost control in turn one and two giving his lead to Alex Bodine. It didn’t take long for Houston to jump back to the front and take home another checkered flag. Alex Bodine came home a strong second, Ahnna Parkhurst third, and Ethan Mitchell fourth.
For the first time Millbridge Speedway revealed their new Intermediate class. Ethan Mitchell, Ahnna Parkhurst, and Slater were ready to show off their new karts powered by the new Marcos Ambrose Thumper X engines. Ahnna would hold off the boys to win the first intermediate feature. Back to the opens, three drivers traded the lead within the first 10 laps. Slater jumped out to an early lead in his sportsman kart until Max McLaughlin passed him behind the wheel of Sean Meeks number 5 kart.
On lap 8 the number 5 crew thought their stalled kart was just low on fuel to later find it was more than no fuel as Max pulled off the track. Their bad luck was Derek Pernesiglio’s good luck as he would go on to win the feature. Slater finished second, McLaughlin third, and Vardell fourth.
