Banal Blasts to Carolina Speedway Win

GASTONIA, NC – Steve Banal sped away from the Carolina Workwear NDRA field Friday night at Carolina Speedway to secure another 2013 victory.

Anthony Sanders held off a determined Daniel Tucker to take second. Greg Barker and Matt Stover rounded out the top five.

Brent Hodges drove to his first Domino’s Pizza Street Stock win in the first of the twin main events. Josh Robbins, Adam Vandiver, David Carswell and Zack McNelly completed the top five.

Andy Thompson took home the win in the second Domino’s Pizza Street Stock race. He was followed by Hodges, Ronald Pope, Robbins and Vandiver.

In the Tilley Harley Davidson Renegade main event Scott Freeman roared to the victory. Vandiver came home second with Tyler Hyatt third, Jamie Major fourth and John Rhyne fifth.

Bryan Mullis captured the American Air Heating and Cooling Thunder Sportsman win. Tyler Love, Anthony Cable, Hank Taylor and Colt Gilliam rounded out the top five.

Casey Shane drove to the Hornets win over; David Motes, Mike Baucom, Jeremy Leagon and Buddy Baucom.

This Friday Night the SouthEastern Late Model Series invades Carolina Speedway for the first time with a $2,000 to win feature event. Four Cylinders, Street Stock, Open Wheel Modified and Renegades will all be battling for the $500 first place prize in all divisions. A huge fireworks show will conclude the program.
