Millbridge Speedway PR – Salisbury, N.C. – For the second week in a row rain fell hard on the track just hours before race time.  Millbridge crew logged hundreds of laps packing in the mud making the track ready just in time for the events to start.

Although severe weather roared in the distance, the pits filled up with karts and drivers were ready to race.

With 13 Box Stock drivers and 8 Beginner Box Stock drivers, it was already a record night at Millbridge.  Gavan Boschele didn’t mind that there were double the karts behind him as he and Estella Sawyer pulled from the field.  Boschele would take home the win with Sawyer second, Gould third, Kohn fourth, and newcomer Tiffany Claridge fifth.

A full field of Box Stocks roared on the track 13 karts strong.  Lap by lap Clark Houston and Max McLaughlin battled side by side  changing the lead each lap while Reed Fugle and Max Kennon sat back waiting for a mistake from either of the leaders.  McLaughlin would win by a nose over Clark Houston, Reed Fugle finished third, Max Kennon fourth, and Zach Wolfe fifth.

Dj McQueen took home another win in the clone heavy division over RJ Otto and Matt Holzbaur.

Drivers in the Open division were hoping to knock the number 30 of Tom Hubert out of victory lane this week.  But, they would have to catch him first.  Hubert took home the win ahead of Max McLaughlin, JD Frye, Adam Welch, and Austin Reed.

The Mini Outlaws will be back in action July 31 at Millbridge Speedway.  There will be a $100 bounty on Open driver Tom Hubert.  If anyone can beat Hubert they will take home an extra $100 making it a $300 payday!
