CONCORD, N.C. — Two-time reigning UMP DIRTcar Late Model national champion Rusty Schlenk announced Wednesday that he will compete full-time with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series this season.
Schlenk will pilot the familiar, Tyler Bork-owned No. CJ1 Rayburn by RSR late model that he drove throughout the 2017 season as he chases series rookie of the year honors.
A native of McClure, Ohio, Schlenk joins North Carolina’s Chris Ferguson, Mississippi’s David Breazeale, Louisiana’s Timothy Culp and Minnesota’s Brent Larson among the pool of recently announced rookie contenders with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series for the upcoming season.
The 2018 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series opens Feb. 9-10 with Winter Freeze VII at Screven Motorsports Complex in Sylvania, Ga.
