CONCORD, N.C. — Major changes to the event program highlight a new expanded schedule for the 47th annual DIRTcar Nationals, which is set for Feb. 6-17, 2018 and features four of the premier dirt racing divisions in the country.
New to the 2017 DIRTcar Nationals schedule will be added nights for both the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds and the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series.
As a result of the adjustment, the DIRTcar UMP Modified all-feature night — featuring Triple-20s for the division — has been moved up earlier in the week to Friday, Feb. 9.
Meanwhile, the All Star Circuit of Champions kick off five straight nights of sprint car action on Feb. 7-8, while the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series will be in action from Friday through Sunday, Feb. 9-11.
The 12-nights of racing at Volusia Speedway Park will conclude with five days of action for the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds and four nights for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Models, all coming to a head on Saturday, Feb. 17.
Over the course of the 12 action-packed nights, drivers in their respective divisions will be competing for one the most sought-after trophies in racing, the Big Gator.
This past winter, Nick Hoffman (UMP Modifieds), David Gravel (Sprint Cars), Brett Hearn (Big-Block Modifieds) and Shane Clanton (Late Models) all wrangled the competition to take home the Big Gator prize in their respective season kick-off stretches.
Tickets for the 47th annual DIRTcar Nationals start at just $20.
